I changed the wipers of my 2003 model 307 xt while refurbishing the windshield (i.e. the master had removed the wipers completely while removing the windshield, by the way I bought a new wiper and installed a new one). but there is a mechanical sound (not a rubbing sound on the glass) as if the wipers are crashing into each other while operating. What is the reason of this ?

Observe from outside while the wiper is running. It's probably hitting somewhere. Either it touches the hood or it hits each other. There may be two reasons for this. The locations of the left and right wiper arms are mixed, the right arm is attached to the left and the right. Or he was not fully seated when he was wearing it.
