Although it is not very important if you are constantly driving in the city;

Tire height of 215/50 R17 tire with base width 215 mm 215x50 / 100 = 107.5mm
Base width is 205 mm Sidewall height of 205/50 R17 tire 205x50 / 100 = 102,5mm

In other words, if there is a difference of 5 mm between the two tires and the rim of the tire, instead of 215, the height of your vehicle will decrease by 1 cm, the comfort will decrease a little, the risk ratio of the tire's cheek failure will increase, but 205 will be more suitable if you have to wear a chain.

195/55 R17 tire It provides a much safer road on wet ground with the same vehicle height as 215 .
