Hello friends;

I browsed the forum, but I did not come across such a topic. I was very confused with my own research. I have a 2009 model diesel engine diesel 308 vehicle. When I ask normal industry masters, they say that the timing set should change at 120 thousand km at the latest. But when I call the authorized service (for example in Ankara, Göral) it says 180 thousand km in the factory data, but they say that we do not buy the vehicles before 140 thousand km. So I perceive it as early as 140 thousand. Which is right now? There is also a considerable expense to change in the eccentric chain when the timing changes. Does anyone have the knowledge of the 2009 model 308 hdi engine timing belt change how many km?

Thanks.

It's called 180 thousand. Unnecessary costs to replace earlier. These are the time given for the original part

So you say the answer given by the authorized service is correct.

In the peugeot user manual 10 years 180000 km writes under normal use conditions. However, in Turkey, heavy usage conditions were applied until recently, room 5 years 120000 km my tavisyem Istanbul - ankara - izmir, the traffic density should be taken into consideration, our vehicles are not like a small city. It is doubling the places where there are plenty of slopes like heleki Keçiören-dikmen, we are tiring our vehicle more because of the slopes. How did the previous owner of your vehicle drive, etc. I think we shouldn't risk it because we don't know. Now let's say you have done 1000 TL. God forbid if a timing belt breaks, it will turn to 4-5 times. Your helical diesel is now 9 years old. My advice is to change your teacher

[QUOTE = atakf] eywallah Soner Hodja thank you, miles have been 130 thousand, so I can change it as soon as possible.

definitely replace.
I agree with Soner. How the person before you used is very, very important. For example, someone who constantly compresses a vehicle exposes more engines than normal.
Stop and go, which is also continuous in heavy traffic, actually produces the same result. The reverse force also causes the timing belt to lengthen and get tired in a shorter time than usual. In short, it does not come to risk. I already deserved to change the mileage of your vehicle.
