Your car may not start if you have forgotten the headlights on or for some other reason. If the problem is caused by the battery, a boost is made to start the car. It is powered by the battery of another vehicle with jumpers and it is used to start the car. It also happens that the wrong reinforcement was made during this process. Improper reinforcement causes malfunction of the electronic control unit and its various parts, especially injection cars, and a very fluffy repair bill.

How to make the right reinforcement?

When your car battery is discharged, all you need to do is to start by supplementing the battery of another vehicle. However, you need to pay attention to some rules while doing this operation.

- In order to start the car by means of reinforcement, both batteries; At 12V voltage, it should be at the same capacity (Ah / Ampersaat). (This information is printed on the battery.)

- Make sure that your vehicle does not come into contact with the vehicle you are supplying. In the event of vehicles touching each other, electric current is generated on the vehicles as soon as the positive ends of the jumpers are connected. This can cause hazards.

- When reinforced from another car, you must turn off unnecessary lamps and accessories on both vehicles.

- Connect the positive (+) end of the jump lead (red) to the positive (+) end of the empty battery and the other end to the positive (+) end of the reinforced vehicle. Connect the negative (-) end of the cable to the negative (-) end of the (black) charging battery. If the negative (-) end of the black cable is attached to a metal piece or cylinder block that does not move. Do not connect the cable to the negative (-) terminal of the empty battery. Because you can cause spark from the battery.

- If the battery of the vehicle providing electricity after the completion of the connections is weak, start the engine of that vehicle and leave the engine running.

- When the engine does not start immediately, wait a few minutes and try again to allow the discharged battery to take off.

- Then start the engine of the vehicle being charged. Do not disconnect the charging cables immediately after the engine has started. Let the engine run at 2000 rpm for 5 minutes.

- Carefully unfasten the jumper cable. During this process, remove the negative (-) and then the positive (+) leads.

- If you do not know the reason for the discharge of your battery (except when the lights remain on) go to your authorized service and have the charge system checked.
