What is Turbo Wastegate?

Friends, low traction and smoke started in my car. The car does not get up even on slight slopes, I have to lift it by pressing the gas too much, and a black gray smoke comes from the back. Then it cuts off immediately when it travels. When I searched the net a bit, they say wesgate may be stuck. 1.6's have video but 1.4's don't. In 1.6's, a long iron between the wesgate and the exhaust manifold provides closing and opening. Can I understand this iron from the same point in 1.4? Or is it a different wesgate in 1.4s? br>
