I can't say anything for the fog, but it depends on the socket on the side mirrors. I had a 9-pin socket, if I'm not mistaken, because it is electric heated, electric control and electric folding. it can be just for heating or as you say. but I have a thermoneter in the right mirror. so there is a crowd in the socket
