My car is Automatic peugeot 206 .... Automatic gears have snow mode and S mode. Let's understand the snow mode, what is this `` S '' mode. In other words, there are those who say there is a sport. as you said, there is s mode for hard use and serial use. If they are normal, let's say 3000 at the s mode, 5000 6000 de gears will be used for high speed.

Peugeot gearbox is sensitive and I say using it as much as possible. I think you consume too much fuel and it is not worth taking risk. Snow mode is nice, I think it works. But sports mode is a risk for our transmissions

I used the S Mode when I needed to overtake or when I needed a sudden speed. I think there is no need to force the gearbox too much. Sensitive already.

I used the s mode once the water hose exploded:) ... maybe it was meant to explode ..
