Friends, there was a noise in my V-belt last year, I neglected it and the vehicle broke on the long road in August. Since I was away from home, I had to have a new V-belt fitted by a master I do not know at the roadside. Since the v-belt is not tensioned in 2007 models, it is really difficult to install. It was hard to put on for about 2 hours and it damaged the belt a little bit. I knew it would break because it was damaged. 1 month later, like the end of September, when I turned on the air conditioner in front of the house, the v-belt broke again. I went to my own master and bought a v-belt from a place I know and had it installed. The master said that if it was from the air conditioner compressor, not from him, he would lock it in one go and would not turn it on again. Anyway, I haven't turned on the A/C during the winter since he put on the new belt. It was 25 degrees today for the first time, I turn on the air conditioner. There is no problem in cooling, but I am afraid that it will break the belt again for the third time :)

When I touch the V-belt after stopping the car, it almost burns a hot hand. A thought came to my mind, if there is a problem with the air conditioner compressor or the alternator, is it overheating the belt and breaking it because of it. But does the v-belt get that hot for you too, is it hot enough to burn your hands? Because if this much heat is not normal, I think this belt seems to break again :)

It's normal for it to get hot because the parts it's attached to are connected to the engine. burrs etc. on the pulleys fitted due to breakage. it could be. This is not a situation that will be a problem when you turn the air conditioner on and off over time.
