Hello everyone. I bought a 2018 GT Line two days ago. It's only 24,000 km on the odometer. This is my first time driving a Peugeot. I've only had the chance to drive it for short city runs. The car is very comfortable, but up to a certain speed, there's a humming noise coming from the front end (I'm not entirely sure if it's the transmission, though), and I can feel the shifts, especially in 2nd and 3rd gears. I try to drive very smoothly and calmly. I've used a CVT transmission for many years, but I have no experience with Peugeots. A forum thread shared information about a similar situation where the problem went away after a bit of a slowdown, but I couldn't figure it out. I'd be very grateful if anyone with experience could comment. Happy holidays.

Brother, I have a 4-speed torque converter, now the EAT6 flatform is made by converting from the 4-speed ALL4 transmission. So, the infrastructure is the same. These transmissions have torque converters and are durable and long-lasting. (In fact, it is the most durable and high-quality transmission.) However, the assembly and parts are not the same in every brand. There is always a perception of quality. French Peugeot and Citroen Kanati also put a good transmission but it does not provide much comfort in terms of quality. It is normal to make noise and feel it when cold, do not worry. Pray that you do not have a Robozite transmission. Of course... You can use the transmission not soft but hard, just those that have changed, do not do it because it does not handle much, does not burn heat like DSG but as I said since it is converted from a 4-speed transmission, it is made for comfort in use not performance.

Thank you so much for your detailed answer. Frankly, I used a CVT transmission for seven years, and I think I'll need to use it a bit to get used to the EAT6. I'd like to ask another question based on your experience. After a long period of idling (I'm starting in the morning, but I don't use it during the day), the car runs at 1,000 rpm on startup, and there's a slight vibration, but it quickly subsides. I'm used to my previous car running around 1,500 rpm on cold start-up and then dropping as it warms up. Is the vibration I mentioned normal for these engines? Or does it need to be addressed? As I mentioned before, the car is a 1.6 gasoline engine with 165 hp. Thank you very much.
