Tire Recommendation - 3008 (2016-)

Hello

There are currently 18 Wheels on the vehicle GT line tires 225/55 / R18

I found the original 17 inch 3008 rim 2.I will also wear a winter tire 225/55 / R17. or do I have to play with tire sizes since the rim is getting smaller?

Does anyone have a winter tire brand recommendation? I think Michelin. I'm open to ideas?
