Tire DOT Quality Notes

There are articles on all tires that describe the quality of the tire.

Treadwear:
This value is usually shown on the tire with numerical data from 180 to 180. It is called the abrasion value of the tire briefly. As the size decreases, the rubber softens and the ability to hold increases. The higher the tire life increases but the grip decreases.
The treadwear value of a good ultra high performance tire is usually below 300.
Sample :
Bridgestone SO3: 220
Bridgestone Adrenalin: 220
Kumho KU 31: 320

Traction :
Traction value is the retention value provided by the tire during the contact with the ground. It has been obtained in the test environment of the product and in the required working conditions (air, tire and asphalt temperature, pressure values, etc.). not in letters: from best to worst - AA - A - B - C.

Sample :
Bridgestone SO3: AA
Bridgestone Adrenalin: A
Kumho KU 31: AA

Temperature :
Temperature value is the scale. The highest A is called the lowest C. A tire of A value is suitable for working at high temperatures and evacuating high temperatures. Low group tires are not resistant to high temperatures and this will shorten the tire life. Unlike the traction value, this value is classified.

Sample :
Bridgestone SO3: A
Bridgestone Adrenalin: A
Kumho KU 31: A

Tire Production Time:
The four-digit number on the tire sidewalls indicates the week and year when the tire was produced. In some, DOT can be written as 4606 and in others it can be written only as 4606.
Tires with an expired date of 5 years must not be used.
