Hello friends, I want to talk about something I've been experiencing. I bought a 2018 Partner Tepee in 2020, registered in traffic, with 20,000 km on the clock. I've currently covered 92,000 km and am still using it. I've experienced various problems over the past four years. The biggest problem is the persistent transmission whine. I think I've gotten used to it by now. Anyway, that's not actually my main problem. After purchasing the car, I started hearing a noise, especially in the garage, from the right side of the car. How can I describe it? It started to sound consistently the same. This caught my attention, but I realized the noise was coming from the timing belt. I used it that way for a while and it never caused any problems. Anyway, I bought a timing belt kit for the car close to the 50,000 km service date. It's starting to worry me. I'm constantly driving long distances. Anyway, at my insistence, the mechanic forced me to change the timing belt. Of course, the car is running like a clock. We said it was fine. Of the parts that were removed, we only noticed a slight deformation on the idler pulley. Other than that, all the components were in perfect condition. But I want to say this. There were pieces of the timing belt stuck to the idler bearing surface, meaning the surface of the pulley that contacted the belt was wavy, but there were no tears in the belt. We figured that was probably why we closed the issue until the car reached 85,000 km. Then, while returning from Ramadan, I noticed the same noise at the gas station. I was very surprised. The same thing started again at 35,000 km. My car is currently at 92,000 km. The noise is clearly audible indoors. Anyway, one day I opened the timing belt cover and checked. The belt was fine. There was no rubbing, tearing, or fragmentation. I started the car and listened to it. The noise was coming while idling. I had a water bottle in hand. I poured some water on the belt while it was running. The noise stopped. Anyway, I closed the cover and it made no noise for a day or two. It started again. Then, this time, without opening the cover, I poured water on the same area while the car was running. The noise stopped again, but it continued as before. 2 days later, it was the same as before. Did we replace the timing belt from the beginning? Is this just a belt noise? And why does the belt make such a distinct ratcheting noise? I don't understand. The spool was broken the first time, the spool broke again, I am not someone who drives a vehicle by hitting it with stones, I use the vehicle with one hand, but I am surprised, frankly I do not know what to do.
