Hello to everyone. When I got the vehicle about two months ago, the airbag light was on and the passenger airbag was giving a deactivate warning, the person I bought said that the airbag brain was defective and I bought them on purpose. Today, when I dismantled the torpedo for something else, I saw that the cables to the passenger airbag were cut and resistance was thrown. Now I want to reconnect these cables and fix the malfunction whatever it is. Is there a risk of explosion of the airbag when the cables are reconnected? aegeanxtr2020-07-29 02:45:20

I recommend you to take it to someone who does airbag business, you will probably need to buy a new airbag.

I would say don't mess with yourself. If there is an airbag tube, you can blow it up, if it does, the chest lining etc. You need to change it this time.

If the airbag breaks out, wouldn't its location be known? The place looks very clean because if I connect these cables, is there a risk of explosion of the airbag again? I will put the torpedo back in but I don't know if I can restore the cables. aegeanxtr2020-07-29 14:26:45

the chest may have changed or my repair teacher would recommend that you remove the battery terminal while doing this type of procedure. One should not confuse the cables.

There are places that make more beautiful coating than the factory. personally, I would say not to bother, but if a friend knowledgeable about airbag directs, I say try it.

Well, if the airbag is intact and there is no risk of exploding, I will try, but in this case, I think it would be more logical to show it if I find someone who is competent.
