Tepee trailer lights electric problem

Hello,

2009 I have a Tepee, I got my brand tow bar and the universal electric plug that came with it, my problem is that when I connect the plug of the trailer to the plug, the left signal of the car does not light, 3 minutes after I pull the plug and stop and lock the car, the rear lights of my car it returns to normal, the ones on the trailer never light up .. they talked about a circuit breaker so the vehicle doesn't see / block this additional connection ..
Someone else said it would be okay if you led the trailer lights? a sack of figs sucks :)
