SUITABLE INJECTOR SELECTION You may want to use one of the formulas below to choose the right size injector for your application. In most cases, atmospheric engines consume 50 lbs of fuel per hour per horsepower they produce. In turbo-fed engines, this figure is 60 lbs or higher. Using these numbers as a guide, you can select the appropriate injector size that a 4-cylinder, atmospheric engine needs around 200 hp, with the help of the following formula. Most injectors operate on the industry standard of 80%. BSFC is how much fuel you use per horsepower. The suitable syringe for this application is 31 lbs / hour or 330 cc / minute.
