In most cases, atmospheric engines consume 50 lbs of fuel per hour per horsepower they produce. In turbo-fed engines, this figure is 60 lbs or higher. Using these numbers as a guide, you can select the appropriate injector size that a 4-cylinder, atmospheric engine needs around 200 hp, with the help of the following formula. Most injectors operate on the industry standard of 80%. BSFC is how much fuel you use per horsepower. The suitable syringe for this application is 31 lbs / hour or 330 cc / minute.
