Steering wheel

Hello, I'm Yücel. The steering wheel of my 1.4 2005 model 307 vehicle was getting stiff, previously there was a whining sound, when I put the steering wheel, it was cut off, now the whining is gone, very light oil leaks, hardening continues. Thank you in advance for your help.

I was complaining about the same issue. The result was heartbreaking, we replaced the electric pump of the steering wheel.

I was having the same problem last summer, but for me it was like this, when the air conditioner is turned on, the steering pump seems to turn off after a maximum of 1 minute and it becomes very hard, the steering does not engage until I start the car again with the air conditioner turned off. I took it to an electro power steering repair shop in Izmir. He said that he had revised the relays, etc., and took a money of 750 TL. No problems now, consistently soft. I don't know if your problem is the same, I hope this information can be of use to you.

If you remove the front tire of the car and remove the mudguard, the steering pump is there. If you remove the backfill place like a water drain and start the car and turn it left and right, the old hydraulics are discharged. It was broken for me last summer, I said the first solution was to change the oil, the mechanic did the same and took 100 TL. I think it's not a very difficult thing, but you just have to not drain the old oil too much or add it from the top when emptying. After all, you can damage the pump that is left without oil when you want to drain the oil inside. After you fill it completely, if you do a few more turns left and right with the top cover open, if there is air left inside, you will have taken it.
