Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum. First of all, thank you for creating such a helpful forum. I have a 2000 model, automatic, gasoline-only 206. For the past month, I've been experiencing a vibration at idle. Especially when I'm stuck in traffic or at traffic lights, the RPM fluctuates slightly, like a heartbeat, and it slows down. It's also stalled a couple of times. It happens more often, especially when I turn on the air conditioning. I took it to a mechanic, and he supposedly cleaned the throttle body and MAP sensor, and checked the idle motor, but found no problem. I'm not sure if he did it completely. I left the mechanic, and 5 minutes later, I noticed the problem persisted at the traffic lights. Does anyone know of a mechanic around Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, or in Istanbul in general who can fix this problem? Or can anyone on the forum offer advice? Thank you for your interest.

Hello friends. I'm new to the forum. Sorry if I write something wrong. I have an unsolvable problem. My car is a Peugeot 206 1.4 XR gasoline. While waiting at traffic lights, the idle speed drops and rises. Sometimes it stalls, sometimes the car recovers itself, that is, it gives gas and adjusts the revs. The throttle body was cleaned and adapted. It seemed to be fixed, but it's still the same. What do you think is the problem? I'm sick of this car. It's turning me off. I wanted to get your opinions. Thank you. Good evening.

Mr. Celal, I understand your situation. In my eyes, the Peugeot is an incredibly terrible car. There's no other car that causes this many problems. I've visited three mechanics and they couldn't fix it.

I have a similar problem. However, this only happens when I first start the car. I don't experience this after the car is moving while driving or while waiting at a red light. The timing chain has slightly stretched or loosened, and the computer is reporting it as a warning from the camshaft position sensor.

Hello, good evening. Has your problem been resolved? They told me the throttle body needs to be replaced.

I haven't changed the chain yet, so the same problem persists. I wasn't told anything about the throttle body.
