Sound Under the Manifold

Dear Peugeot Enthusiasts,

About a month ago, I had a new catalyst installed on my 2000 model 306 convertible (2.0 Lt - 132 PS) on Ebay.

Especially after the engine has warmed up (after the motorway), there are sounds coming out under the manifold between the first, second and reverse gears, power changes and rough ground.

In the forums in Germany, this sound is said to be due to bolt connections or leak between the manifold and the catalyst.
I had the voice heard by the service, but they did not yet have time to lift the car and look at it.

I look forward to your valuable opinions and wish everyone a good day.

First of all, welcome to us. I wish you to use your vehicle without any accident, good luck. Well, do I have to wear the zero of the attached parts, sir. Or, as you say, a nut that is not fully tightened may also cause the work done. or there may be a problem with the catalyst.

Hello, we liked it.

I have been driving my vehicle for about 10 years. For the first time since I bought it (58,000 km), I changed its catalyst (158,000 km). Unfortunately, since Peugeot did not produce the original catalysts of the 306 Convertible anymore, I bought the part on EBAY.

However, the sound does not come from the catalyst. We are confident in this, because the parts inside the catalyst were aging and damaged before, so there was sound and therefore I replaced the catalyst. The sound that is coming right now probably seems to come from the catalyst connections.

After a similar refurbishment, I look forward to the valuable views of friends who experience similar sound problems and who know the solution to this sound problem.

Greetings,
