The 2010 model 308 1.6hdi automatic mill had not caught my attention after buying the car, I did not need it, but today I tried the trial chef S key and nothing happened, there was neither an S letter on the dashboard nor a play in the revolutions.

Is there a different way to use this mode? or could it be malfunctioning?

It gives half of the probable malfunction. Your vehicle needs to change gears at 2200 rpm, while it changes gears at 3000 rpm. In short, there is no problem, you may not have noticed.

Normally the s light should illuminate on the display. So is 206.

I wonder if there is a shift contactor failure?

Maybe my teacher or socket has come off, the lamp in the indicator may have exploded

When I press the button, the s light does not come on, and before I press it, the gear change interval is around 2200 revolutions.

Is it a socket where I can control it myself?

Then it does not come into play. It is necessary to check from under the gear lever. It's hard for you to control. If the snow mode is activated, it has the sign * and press it and try.

There is no snow mode, so I can't try it.

Whether the S mode button should be soft or hard, it's too hard on me, I wonder if there is only a malfunction in the button. Can we remove the shiny coating around the gear?

You can remove that coating, there is no problem in it, but in my opinion it is not something you can see and understand. Of course, it is useful to look at the button first.

It turns out like this

If you press the S button, if the car is shifting at high speed, your running problem is on the display screen.
You can search for other kinds of problems in the web.

There is no change in the shift range and revs. Keys or links are faulty. I am thinking of removing the shiny part to look under the key tomorrow.

I solved the problem. Today I removed that shiny plastic piece. There is a gray tire under the S button, it has come off, I fixed it, it is working now.
