Finding the latest Turkish map for RNEG (WIP NAV / MyWay) navigation systems in Peugeot vehicles is quite a tedious task. I will try to explain how to update your system to the latest software and how to activate Turkish address entry on 2025 maps using a hybrid method, unlike the current maps. Address entry will be from 2012. The route directions generated for the address you enter will be based on the current map. This seems to be the best configuration for this system for now. Click here for RNEG software and map files. (For the procedures to be performed, you can use a memory card of at least 16GB SDHC type or inserted into an SD card adapter. The card must be formatted in FAT32 format.) 1: Software (Firmware) Update (R50b R50.03) For stable operation of high-capacity maps and to resolve system errors, your RNEG unit must have version R50b R50.03. Check that the software version used in this process is compatible with the system of your vehicle. Otherwise, your multimedia device may become unusable. Click here for compatible models. Copy the files inside the RNEG_R50b_R50.03 folder from the downloaded files to the root directory of the memory card. The root directory of the card should only contain the HEADUNIT folder and the HBUPDATE file. Your vehicle's engine must be running during the update process. The engine must not stop and/or the battery must not be dead during the update. This process takes approximately 30 minutes. If you have an SD card inserted in your multimedia device, remove it. While the engine is running, insert the prepared software card. Start the process by saying "Yes" to the update warning that appears on the screen. The unit will restart several times during the process; do not turn off the engine or tamper with the device buttons. If the device gives another update warning when the process is complete and it turns on for the last time, say "No" and remove the SD card. You can confirm that the version has been updated by pressing and holding the SETUP button for 5 seconds. The version number should appear as reng_D_R50b_R50.03 on the screen. 2: Preparing the 2025 Map Package Although Turkey is visually present in current RNEG map packages, it often does not appear in the country list because addressing indices (LIT data) are missing. We partially solve this problem by combining the LIT data from the 2012 map package, which was specially prepared for Turkey, with the current map package. Before starting the installation, empty the memory card you used for the software update. Copy the database folder found in the RNEG-2025-1-EAST-CUSTOM file from the downloaded files to the root directory of the memory card. Only the database folder should be in the root directory. With the ignition off, insert the prepared SD card into the navigation slot. Start the vehicle and wait approximately 1 minute for the system to read the card. Press the NAV button to switch to navigation mode. The current map will be loaded. The memory card must remain constantly inserted in the unit to use the map. With this method, Turkey will appear in the country list and address entry will be active. However, since the address data is from 2012, very recent street names may not appear in the list. Although the hardware may not be sufficient, you can also enter addresses by selecting them from POI points or the map. Also, due to the system's low RAM capacity, scrolling the map manually too quickly may cause black spaces on the screen. I hope this has been helpful.
