Right Rear Door

Mrb. The right rear door of my friends car does not open from the inside, but if it is to be opened it is difficult to get pretty. It opens from the outside, but it feels like a bit of a hitch. what do you think could be the problem?

The door handle inside has a wire pulling the lock underneath the floor, there may be a problem with that wire, the lock could be malfunctioning. I don't know if there is such a system in the 4-door model.
