I am in Ankara. I have a 2006 Model 1.6 HDI 407 vehicle. In the special service I went for maintenance, it was said that the glow plugs had exploded, that they should be changed, but when disassembling during the change, the spark plug had a 90% risk of breakage in the engine block, and if it breaks, it would be possible to remove the engine cover and only one could be removed. Although I was told that others would be dismantled on the condition that I would accept the responsibility, I did not accept and dismantle it. Did anybody know about the subject and / or encounter the same situation?

Yes, they said it right ... Unfortunately , breaking the spark plugs while disassembling is a common problem of all diesel vehicles. The spark plugs swell over time after the mounting thread (the part that enters the engine) and cannot be removed because it has a larger diameter than the bore diameter.

[QUOTE = ocaliptus] Hello Friends, I am in Ankara. I have a 2006 Model 1.6 HDI 407 vehicle. Yes, all four were broken and the engine was removed without turning it on. These parts are aluminum. Thanks to the master I went to, he found an aluminum welder who could do this job. The man came and boiled a piece and removed it. Still, it was not very easy, it took more than 1 hour. It does not take much money, 100 TL per piece. So we gave 400 TL to the welder, but if the top cover was opened, the cost would start from 700 TL. Especially for vehicles without high mileage, it is more logical to solve this without opening an engine that has never been opened if there is no complaint from the engine . I do not know the welder himself, I was not at the vehicle, I could not see it, but I can direct it to the master I went to. Ankara Şaşmaz` knowledgeable in these vehicles, g üvenil are friends.
