Rain sensor problem

The windshield has changed due to the car's windshield cracking (with sensor glass) but the rain sensor does not work anymore, when I put the wiper into auto mode, an orange light appears from the outside of the sensor and it works by itself even when the wiper glass is dry
Can it help if anyone has had it before
