Hello brothers and sisters, my car is a Peugeot 307 1.4 HDI 2003 model. While the water level is normal, after getting in the car and driving for a few kilometers, the water level warning light comes on. When I check, I don't see any water in the expansion tank. When I wait for the engine to cool down and want to add water, no matter how long I wait, when I open the expansion tank cap, I hear a hissing sound and the water level rises to its previous level. If I open it while it's hot, I think it's the water expanding, but I wait 5 hours and it cools down, but there's no difference. I can't top up the water because the water is low, the water doesn't mix with the oil, it doesn't flow, there's no drop of water where I park the car. The mechanics in the district where I live aren't very helpful, if I can't solve it myself, I'll go to Bursa.

Based on the symptoms, it appears to be air leaking, but the gasket could also be blown. The best way to be sure is to have a gasket blown test.

We have the same car. Water loss in the expansion tank usually occurs when the vehicle leaks air. First, we need to diagnose it. Temperature shouldn't rise too much even for a short distance in a diesel vehicle. Assuming the temperature gauge is accurate, check the radiator hoses to see if the inlet and outlet hoses are hot. If one hose is hot and the other cold, it means the thermostat hasn't opened. This means water loss in the reserve tank. If both hoses are hot, the thermostat is functioning normally. Carefully open the reserve tank cap while the vehicle is running. If any air in the engine and radiator is expelled from the reserve tank, the process is complete when the fan comes on. Of course, there's no problem with the o-rings in the radiator or water hoses. Good luck.

Thank you for your answer, but it is not possible for my car to turn on the fan while idling. I bought the car 3 months ago. Once, when it was 90 degrees, the fan did not turn on. It gets stuck at around 80-85 degrees.
