An engine works by burning Fuel and pushes the pistons down by making expansion. Do you want to make more horsepower? Burn more fuel so the engine will push the pistons down more strongly. Sounds like very easy. However, this is not so easy. Since there are many factors that make increasing power a complex engineering problem, we will only consider three main principles here.
First of all, all fuels need oxygen to burn. If you want to burn more fuel, you will need to give more oxygen. Almost all engine performance products increase power by increasing fuel and oxygen flow.
Camshafts, larger carburettors or valves, porting, intake manifolds, exhaust headers, superchargers, turbochargers, and NOS are clear examples of how an improved engine breathes air (more oxygen to burn more fuel) and this gives you increased horsepower. The most effective way to increase the flow of oxygen and fuel is probably the Nitro oxide injection system. This is the main reason why the nitro system produces so much horsepower.

Another key power factor is the evaporation of fuel. As with other racing fuels, gasoline will not burn while in liquid form. In order for gasoline to burn, it must be converted into steam. Converting gasoline to steam is an easy process. This is basically no different than putting a glass of water outside and waiting for it to dry. Of course, evaporation is very fast inside the engine. The conversion of raw gas to steam at 8000 RPM is key to stimulating the evaporation process; engine heat and fuel atomization. The atomization process turns the raw fuel flow into very small droplets, and thus evaporation is accelerated due to the enlarged evaporation surface. The size of the fuel droplets is very important. Take a big drop of gasoline and turn it into ten small droplets, in this case you have expanded the surface area for more effective evaporation. The result is more fuel to burn. A well-designed NOS system, together with nitro, creates very small droplet sizes in fuel flowing into the engine. For this reason, NOS systems create stronger horsepower than other systems.

The third main power factor we will look at is the density of the air / fuel mixture. Have you ever tried jogging at the 5000 meters gate in the Taurus Mountains? It takes your breath away, right? The air is thinner and less dense at altitudes of the atmosphere than at sea level. For this reason, the truck traveling on a road in the Taurus travels more slowly than a truck driving on the road in Istanbul at sea level. Density is activated by atmospheric pressure (the weight of the atmosphere above you), temperature, and humidity. We cannot change the pressure of the atmosphere, but to some extent we can regulate the temperature of the suction chamber. Cool souls and intercoolers cool the fuel and air / fuel mixture, making it more dense, thereby generating extra strength. The more intense this mixture, the more the cylinder compresses with fuel and air for combustion and creates more power. When nitro oxide is injected, it immediately turns from liquid to gas and becomes very cold. This cold nitro vapor reduces the temperature of the entire intake chamber in the manifold up to 65 o Fahrenheit. The more intense mixture helps the engine produce much more power with a nitro system
