When I could not get the performance I expected from the H7 projector + H7 kit modification, I decided to switch completely to the D2S xenon infrastructure. Again Hella 50 mm. I will use D2S xenon projectors. I think that I can make an easy transition as the mounting feet (I do not use the foot in the picture above) that I have previously made fit in this module. Apart from a few minor problems: the xenon projector's rear socket is larger and 2 cm from the H7 projector. much longer. For this I have to cut the back of the reflector. I apply the painting and assembly of the projectors as in the previous modification. I can also adjust the height adjustment from the inside. The electrical infrastructure will not change, there is no difference in the electrical inputs since I use the same type (Hella G3) ballast. The set I bought also includes the original mounting apparatus of the ballasts. I want to make another change and make the parking lamps with LED. The led strip I want to use is 30 cm. 18 leds placed vertically. It has a flexible structure, but it should not be too hard, it should not bend more than 45º. Each led in the strip is 5 mm. diameter, using 12V / 120mA current, it can provide 3 lumens of light at 8000K color temperature with 120º angle. 3000K yellowish white or different color options are also available. The strip can be divided into 3 LEDs. Unfortunately, due to the internal design of my headlight, there is not much free installation space. Due to its increasingly narrow inner structure, I am not able to install it on the upper edge, while the lower edge restricts the movement of the reflector. I decide to place 3 leds in the vertical column in the inner frame so that the image is plain and different. In fact, there is a distance that can put 6 leds, but it becomes impossible to place the leds in the inwardly narrowing fold of the column as it goes down. Starting from the top of the column in the frame, 3 pieces of 5 mm. I made holes in the diameter, pushed the LEDs from the back to the front and fixed them, I also glued the circuit board from the inside. I extended the cable of the parking lamp and adapted it to the electrical socket of the strip. Thanks to its wide angle, visibility does not decrease. It's good to see that I finally got the performance I wanted. The picture shows the light distribution of the new projector on the left and the H7 projector with the H7 kit on the right. After the assembly of the right side is finished ... It is not clear in the picture due to the color of the cut line, but the 4150K Osram Xenarc bulbs are slightly yellowish. The yellowness of the color tone can be more easily distinguished from the light that hits the road. This hue provides a softer and distinctive lighting effect.
