If so, there is a huge misconception that is probably caused by ignorance and straight logic. Let me explain a little bit. The substance we say antifreeze is ethylene glycol (ethylene glycol). This substance is resistant to freezing due to its chemical structure. There is a similar type of diethylene glycol which shows the same feature. This substance is also used as wiper water. When we get pure antifreeze on our vehicles, we need to add water to it. This is because the combination of ethylene glycol molecules and water molecules converts into a solid crystal structure.
