Hello friends, I am having a problem such as misfiring or cutting electricity in my Peugeot 207 2008 model premium 1.6 diesel vehicle. It does not turn on any fault lights or give an error code but while driving on the road, regardless of gear, it frequently misfires as if the ignition is turning on and off. During this period, the vehicle does not cut electricity etc. but it does it very often. In the beginning it was not doing it once a day or not at all but now the problem has increased. I took it to a few mechanics and they connect it to a machine but the error code does not appear.

Brother, I spent 25,000 TL on this problem. I don't know if you have the same problem, but let me tell you. I changed the pressure plate. After that, the car started misfiring once a day. It especially happened when the car shook when going over potholes. The mechanic crushed one of the cables leading to the ECU. But because I didn't know for months, I kept searching for the problem in different places. There was no fault code. Since the ECU was accessible and only did it once a day, we couldn't figure it out. We even went to the ECU and he brushed it off, saying it was impossible. One morning, the car wouldn't start. It would crank but wouldn't turn the flywheel. We loaded it onto a tow truck, and even the transmission went flat. Finally, we realized the problem was the cable leading to the ECU had been crushed and connected to the chassis. When we went over potholes, the cable leading to the ECU shook and caused the chassis to bounce. Definitely have the ECU checked. It doesn't give a fault code, but there could be a problem with the cable. They can't find it until we're stranded on the road.

Thank you. I will have the cables checked. My car only has 70,000 miles on it. I took it in for a checkup and had the pressure plate checked. There was no problem. The only thing I noticed was that it happens more often when the car is cold and less often when it warms up. It used to happen maybe once a week, but now it happens 20-25 times when I start it in the morning and go to work. I talked to a few people and they said it might be related to the crank sensor.

The crank sensor has been changed and the problem is solved now. If it happens again later, I will let you know.
