Hello, today I experienced a frightening problem with my Peugeot 206 1.4 8v Gasoline+LPG vehicle. Today, while the car was running and I was cleaning the coolant from the reserve water tank with circulation pump to change the antifreeze, the reserve water tank which was half full suddenly started to overflow. I was going to shut down the car to prevent it from overflowing any further and in case of an electrical problem, at that moment the temperature gauge was around 95, suddenly it dropped to 0 and suddenly jumped to 120 and gave a STOP warning, the fan ran at full speed, so I stopped it and when I turned the ignition key again, it immediately returned to 95. Then I waited for it to cool down and some water had gotten on the sides of the engine. I tried to dry those areas. After half an hour had passed, the engine had cooled down. I turned the ignition on again and turned it over. The engine didn't start and I heard a loud clicking sound. I turned the ignition off and on again. This time the car started but the engine ran jerkily. The engine light came on. After 5 seconds it went off and continued running normally. I waited for it to warm up again. It idled and when it reached 95°C, the same thing happened again. It dropped to 0 and jumped to 120°C. The stop light came on. I immediately stopped the car and left it where it was. The radiator was ice cold and water was leaking from the timing belt. What do you think could have happened? Can I get a small diagnosis before I take it to the repair shop so I don't get slapped? My suspicions are that the thermostat or temperature sensor is faulty or there is an electrical leak due to water coming in. Because the car's date and time were reset after that clicking sound. Is the chassis cable coming from the battery terminal bad? I suspect more than one thing. Frankly, if anyone has any knowledge or experience, can you help me? ardmajesty2024-09-02 18:11:43

We detected the problem and it was solved. The water pump was broken. There were no wings left. It was as sharp as a razor. The technician said the workmanship was also related to the timing belt. They said it would cost 2,000 TL to replace it. I asked a few other places. When they said 4,500, I had the timing belt set done at a place that cost 2,000. The cracks had started. The technician said it shouldn't be wasted. He said it was labor-intensive. I bought that too and had peace of mind. The car was fixed. The parts cost 2,000. I had it fixed for 4,000 in total. By the way, when the problem occurred, the radiator was ice cold. It wouldn't warm up at all. The temperature kept rising. It wasn't giving a code even though it was faulty.
