Peugeot 2008 1.6 EHDI

I'm new to the forum and greetings everyone. My car is a 2008 eHDI 2014 model. Even though I pressed the brake and shifted the gear to N to start the car, I received a warning saying, "Press the brake and shift to N to start the engine." Despite doing this several times, the car wouldn't start. Then, after I rapidly shifted the gears a few times, the gearshift sound came back, and the car started. What I'd like to know is: 1- What is the source of this problem? 2- Is this a temporary issue? 3- What can be done to avoid this problem? Hello sir. First, have the error codes checked by a specialized service center that has original software. There could be a variety of causes. It could also be a temporary fault, such as a brake switch or position switch.

It could even be caused by the V-belt and tensioner bearings causing the Start-Stop not engaging. First of all, have the fault codes checked as your first priority.
