overspeed off problem - 307

Dear friends; The 2004 model 307 1.6 XT Premium writes 'overspeed off' on the road computer of my vehicle. What does it mean. I would appreciate if anyone with knowledge helps. (I don't think it's in my cruise control vehicle because there's no handle on it)
