the steering wheel looks like a hydraulic lever, where it is connected to the metal shiny part, if it is going to the wheel, if the route is connected, they may have wrapped it because there is no bellows.

Honestly, you saw that when the axle of a vehicle was removed, I saw it when the steering gear was removed, tie rod etc. I saw this kind of material for the first time, and I think it is not the original one you removed. this piece came out from the left, is there something similar, right? I still think it is dust blower.
