Hello everyone, I'm new here. Two weeks ago, I bought a 2013 model, 308 II T9 1.6 THP, with 104,000 km. The car was serviced three months ago, and the oil was changed, but the oil level is very low. I think it's burning oil. My question to you experienced and knowledgeable friends is this: The recommended oil for the car I see everywhere is 0W-30. Looking at past service invoices, I always see this. However, three services ago, one of the service centers added 10W-60 oil. I wonder if this is the cause. I also have 5W-40 Castrol oil on hand, would it be a problem if I added it? Most sources say it's safe. It's even said to prevent oil consumption. Consequently, fuel consumption is slightly higher. Thanks in advance for your valuable feedback.

Hello, if you're going to use a fully synthetic 5W/40, mixing oils with different viscosities is a no-brainer. My advice is to use it, but change the vehicle's oil beforehand. Use an engine oil flush additive before changing. There are many videos on YouTube that mention it as an engine flush. Choose a quality oil brand like Motul or Liqoi Moil, but definitely a fully synthetic one.

Thanks so much for the information. I just learned that a cleaning additive is added to the engine. I'll try it.
