Hello friends;
I request information about engine oil and your engine assembly recommendations for my 406 hdi 2.0 2003 model vehicle and the comments of experienced people,
I have researched castrol magnateck and mobil 1 is considered to be the best synthetic best, I guess 5w35 in my car's factory data but I have used 10w40 to this day, what is your advice, which one is the best and which is suitable for my car, thanks.

Personally, 10w40 candels in diesel vehicles especially peugeot diesel vehicles. As you say, I say Castrol magnatec and Shell helix :)

I can say that 5w 30 should be used. I was wondering why you used 10w 40 frankly ... the smaller the value of w, the more resistant to the weather resistance in winter is your oil ... I know that ...
edit: As a brand, I call castrol edge and mobil 1 ...

Thank you, it may be absurd to me, but I know that 5w 30 standard should be used, but since the vehicle is old, I was told that you should use 10w 40 to avoid oil leakage and loss, I was suspicious in me, I even called the authorized service, I asked for the vehicle information, they said that you should use 10w 40. So I asked, but I try to find the best match for brands and performance

5-40 fully synthetic oil is recommended for 1.4 and 1.6 HDI engines, it is used in 2.0 I think, if you check the oil level frequently, there will be no problem

W value increases fluidity. It should be 5.30. This is not Tofas :)
