The plug is not changed, the gasket is changed if it is, it is changed at 3-4 oil change if it leaks. Are you talking about a different thing?

I think this was a misinformation, because in oil changes, the oil is taken from this plug. An application like releasing guides at every oil change is risky and impossible. Even if you grow your teeth every time and adjust the plug accordingly, metal shavings in the sump can cause disastrous damages.
