Greetings friends. I would like to know the difference between Castrol semi-synthetic, Castrol full synthetic engine oil. And I'm confused about this. There are Ford and Mercedes emblems on the oil bottles sold by this company. I guess it doesn't mean we can't use this oil in our own car.

Ford, mercedes emblems are for advertising purposes. So, they should sort of get that. Of course, you can use these oils in your vehicle.

I quote from the page of Mobil 1:

What makes synthetic oils so good?

All engine oils are produced from base oil and additives. A synthetic oil contains higher purified base oils than conventional mineral oils, providing superior protection and performance. Synthetic engine oils offer a variety of benefits, such as anti-abrasion, keeping the engine clean, easy flow, fluid retention, rust prevention and friction reduction, enabling you to run your engine at top performance for years.

What is the difference between fully synthetic and semi-synthetic motor oil?

All engine oils are produced from base oil and additives. Fully synthetic motor oils contain 100% non-traditional, high performance fluids. Semi-synthetic engine oils (also known as "blends") are combined with conventional mineral oil, keeping them at a lower rate than these high performance liquids. Mobil 1 is a fully synthetic motor oil.
