Hello friends,

About 1 week ago, my 307 had a problem with brakes. As you brake, there is a subtle sound like a whistling sound. There's an obvious friction. However, I did not understand how this problem started.

I took it to the master. He said that if there was water coming to the brake pads while you were washing the car after it was a long way, he said. I actually took the car for the first time in 3 months since I bought the car a day or two before the problem started. Big smile But I took it to the wash at home over the weekend. So it wasn't a long way. Otherwise, I entered a small hole at night on the same dates.

I want to ask you this.

1) Is this sound caused by entering the pit or by touching the brake pads with water? (front pads are new)

2) Can the problem be caused by anything other than brake pads?

The master said it was lining and cut it. I'll show it somewhere else, but I wanted to get some ideas from you here.

long distance or when the discs are in contact with water, the disc is bending, the master said flour, but I do not know if there is 307 copper wire is on the edge of some pads, after the pad has fallen below a certain level, the copper wire rubs on the disc as a warning, this sound tells us that the pads are low. I think something more clear can be said if you can shoot a video

You can disassemble the tire and visually check the condition of the linings. Sometimes dust together, etc. may make a sound due to its entry. Take the spray with the lining and tighten it. talip206 2016-04-06 23:26:29

@alfonsoxxx, @ talip206 thanks friends for the answers. The copper wire thing made sense. Maybe this could be it. I will write the situation when I have it checked.

In general, that sound comes from discs, so if it started to come permanently, this is one of the first reasons to look at.

As I said, the sound comes from the front disc, but as I said, it does it when it gets hot, and as far as I learned it was due to the hardening of the discs, the pad had to be replaced.
