Newsletter on 308 timing belts

In 1.2 puretech engines after 40 thousand km, the timing belt burrs the oil and causes the sensors to be warned. The engine light flashes and goes out by itself. Even if there is nothing left on the screen, I think a warning about oil quality appears when connected to the computer. If your oil is clean and this warning appears , the timing set, oil and oil filter are replaced free of charge under warranty. There is a bulletin published by peugeot on the subject. I do not know if the newly installed belt does the same problem, but if it does, it will probably need a change of 50 thousand km.

I also had to replace the alternator belt. I paid about 110 TL for belt + ball + workmanship that was not covered by the warranty

I am wondering how to use fuel in Istanbul. I can get on the diesel without pity, but if it will hurt a lot when I switch to gasoline, I may not be close to it.

my two-year fuel bill totaled 4000tl.

If this were gasoline, it would have produced a figure like 4500. Of course, this is the result without directly calculating on lt basis. Considering that it rises from 6 to min 8.5, min is 6500tl.

If you travel 10 thousand km annually like me, I guess this vehicle won't hurt much.

I just saw the message of my teacher, yes, it is not worth it for 10 thousand km per year. You have to go a long way to make sure that the prepaid difference is left with you. I bought my first diesel vehicle in the middle of 2015, to this day I have made 75 thousand km. When the idea of buying a second vehicle that would make 3-5 thousand km a year came up, when I saw these new 1.3, 1.2,1.0 turbo gasoline engines, I turned to gasoline without thinking. Now I can see it 8.5 if I enjoy it, and 6.7 if I go like a human. Puretech is not looking for the 1.6 TDI vehicle I use now for performance and torque.
