Hello; I changed the timing set of my 206 1.4 hdi vehicle and there was a noise. I went to the mechanic who did it and he tightened it again but the noise increased again. It is heard when idling and it stops only when I press the gas. Will it cause a big problem for me? It says it is normal and will pass with time. What should I do? What do you recommend? The sound is like Vut Vut Vutuv, Vut Vut Vutuv. Best regards.

After the first change, I think you should use it for a while. Best regards.

Thank you for your comment. The car's noise has gotten worse. I took it in yesterday afternoon and they replaced it. The car wouldn't start. The crank sensor was broken, somehow, so I bought a new one. This time, I hear a clicking noise coming from the injector when I step on the gas. I don't know what to do, I'm waiting. My car was fine. I just went for maintenance and a timing belt, and this is what I've been through. I wonder if they can fix what they messed up, or will they demand a hefty fee? Do you think I have to pay?

Are the noises from the timing belt continuing? I think you're no longer hearing any noise from that part. You replaced the crankshaft sensor. You bought the car while it was running. Everything was normal up to this point. You bought the car and heard a new noise unlike any before. You thought it was coming from the injector. When you go to the service center again, they might say your injector is faulty. Perhaps another replacement is necessary. Regards.

Hello Sir, when I got the car off the lift and the mechanic was reversing, I heard a knocking sound coming from the injector. He lifted the car back up, and I'm still waiting. I don't know if I'm hearing the noise from the timing belt since I haven't received the car yet. But when the sensor was replaced and the car started, there was no noise from the timing belt. Thank you for your answer.

If you can clearly distinguish between the timing belt noise and the injector noise and if you need to intervene in these parts, leave the vehicle to the service, do not wait, the technicians will look at it and come to a clear conclusion, in the meantime they will call you and inform you, and I suggest you make the most of your time, you can share the developments here instead of wasting it at the service :) Have a nice forum, best regards
