Hello friends, I have a new 307, I want to wash the engine and change the insulation.
1- Can I wash the engine anywhere
2-Where can I find this isolation?
3-Can we wear it by ourselves
thank you in advance

Washing the engine is risky, don't think about it, there are sprays to clean the engine and you can clean it yourself. When you say engine insulation, I think you are talking about the hood felt? You can look at the removers for the hood felt.

Hi;

They do not recommend washing the engine. A lot of them, especially the battery, were causing problems (going to affect the brain of the vehicle), but they wipe with certain substances, I don't know, because I have never dealt with curiosity. If you ask me, I have been riding 4 different vehicles since 200`3, I have not washed any of the engine, and I have not seen any negativity caused by not washing them.

As a result of the application of a friend to our company vehicle in the past, we have been struggling for days, and the vehicle could not recover itself, especially since our vehicles belong to electronic systems, it would be inconvenient.

Instead, I personally dust first with a damp cloth and then clean the necessary places with a rust spray.

I have a small-scale washing center: D

I wash the engine every 4-5 months. I wash the car every weekend, but not so blindly by working regionally using a special substance.

There are a few points in engine washing if you pay attention to them, there will be no problem.

1-Whether the engine is dirty or not, a layer of perspiration, traffic, road, and mud is formed. If we do this without cleaning it, we will be shoveled.
2-As long as the engine is not submerged, there is no problem. Old carburetor vehicles had problems but now we are in 2013: D
3-Electronic parts, which we call electronic parts, must be protected,
-ECu (if lpg is available)
-Insurance box
-Alternator
4-Washing engine should be cold, air temperature should be normal.
5-First, spray the engine cleaning product anywhere under the hood (be careful not to come into the vehicle's hood) it can spoil the varnish). I use atas vinet and dilute 1/7 for the engine. If there is heavy dirt, I clean it with a brush.
After 6-4-5 minutes of material penetrate into the dirt, I foam with the help of the pressurized washing machine, again with the dls 125. It is waiting for 6-7 minutes
6- I adjust the gun of the pressure washer according to the region and change its pressure. The machines used by the washers do not have this feature, they spray with a constant and very serious pressure, which has a bad effect.
7- I install intense watery and electronic parts with a cloth. and start the engine and wait 15 minutes.

I have 6 fixed tools for washing, I do all of them myself. I have not had any problems until today. When I first made it, I could not get rid of it as cort, I read the detailing site for nights.

For isolation,

If there is a coating available, clean it and it will change quite a bit, but if you do not have the original.

BTM bitüself tape the friend is talking about. There are those who apply this, but I do not put that substance into the temperature of the engine. Instead, there are fireproof therma flex insulation materials that you can use from them. It happens in places that sell construction materials.

Meanwhile, the battery does not have a problem with water. In 2004 opel corsa c, the battery passes through the battery, even if it rains even under the windshield water discharge. We still use the factory battery of the vehicle we bought in 2004, there was no problem.
