Do not leave fuel in the tank at the end of the flight. it causes. After the end of the flight, lubricate the engine by dropping some oil from the exhaust and the carburetor. Turn the propeller a few turns by hand to allow the oil to enter the engine. Before starting the flight, any small sand, soil, thread, straw, grass, etc. on the engine, especially at the carburetor air inlet. If such materials get into the engine, even if they are soft, they can create scratches on the piston and liner surface, which are very sensitive. Do this check also between flights and at the end of the flight. If you need to completely disassemble and re-collect your engine, try not to remove the piston from the sleeve and turn the piston inside the liner. If you need to remove the plunger from the shirt, be sure to insert it as you disassemble it. If you do not do this, you will have to throw your engine after a few flights. Why is that ? Piston and liner are machined circularly at CNC benches with very precise tolerance ratios during manufacturing. There is very little gap between piston and liner. Especially in motors without tabs. When you start your engine running and flying, the piston opens a seat on the liner. The piston and liner wear out in the form of an egg, because the force that pushes the piston down during combustion is much more than the force that pushes the piston up during compression time, so one surface of the piston and liner wears less than one surface. The less abraded surface is called the small bearing surface. Also, since the temperature in the exhaust port area is higher, the surface of the piston on the side of this exhaust port wears more. The work side and the worn side of the shirt, the less worn side of the piston coincides with the worn side of the shirt. It is an excerpt ... |
