Low Oil Pressure in Engine

OIL PRESSURE LOW IN ENGINE

1- Pressure gauge shows wrong.

2- The hole of the pipe coming to the pressure gauge has narrowed. (Motor).

3- Oil was watered. Or, thinner oil is used than desired.

4- The pressure setting of the oil pressure control valve in the pump is very low.

5- The spring of the pressure control valve is weak.

6- The elements of the oil pump are worn.

7- The element housing and cover of the oil pump are worn.

8- The body or the cover of the oil pump is loose.

9- The gasket of the oil pump is broken, incorrectly installed or too thin.

10- There is air leakage in the pump suction pipe. (The oil level in the crankcase is low).

11- There is air leakage in the oil pump swimmer strainer.

12- Pump suction pipe or strainer is clogged with water, waxing and freezing.

13- There is a leak in the oil discharge pipe.
