My friends car 2004 model 307 1.6 XR (available on LPG). We have done some operations with the ideas and masters given about this subject before, but the result is still the same.

As for the problem, you all know the sound from the straps. I also had this sound, when I first picked up the car, I changed the timing belts in a special service. There was no sound for a month, then he did it again, this time they said from the crank pulley, we changed it, for a month or two there was still no sound, but then came again, the V-belt changed in the last authorized service again, the sound was cut again for a month and started again, what is the main reason for this can friends ???

Thanks for your help in advance ...

It probably comes from a track that is not fully adjusted, seated. There are actually two different belt sounds. In one, the intensity of the sound changes with acceleration, in the other it is constant. Which is yours?

If you have English, this video will be very useful:

At the moment, the sound comes when I first start the car when the car is cold, then it stops. There is no sound when the car is running, this sound does not come when the car is running continuously.

But is there any increase in the sound when you press the gas? Is there a change in the sound when you operate the air conditioner in the same way? The high probability, if any, (as said in the video) is due to the tension of the belt you are changing or not being adjusted well. Again, as the video says, new belts have fiber. Over time, this fiber is worn and the belt fits better in the pulley. I think that is the reason why the sound appeared later.

When I press the gas, the sound does not increase, at the moment only the starter presses the sound, then it stops.

I think your problem is from a good setting. I think find a good master and examine your car. weather can come from very cold belts hardening.

the same thing happened to me as I was changing the belts, there were round pieces that turned our timing belt, at the bottom, one of them was reversed, I guess it was right inside.

I have the same trouble, the same sound as when the first part of the car was not fixed by a metal part. But the engine stops when it gets hot. The master said it was one of the engine belts. I said it was 8000 KM with a replacement, then he said it is one of the cylinders that the belt is attached to. I'll show you again when money is available: s

I have a similar sound problem, as the belt sounds. It only does when the engine is cold. I thought the alternator belt, I changed it, it did not. Triger has also changed, there was no sound after it has already changed. When the gas presses, the sound does not change, which eliminates the straps attached directly to the engine. I suspect idling engine. I think it may have started to sound after cleaning, it is already fixed by fluctuating at stop / stand. The master cleaned the pad with spray, and I saw the WD40 squeezers on the internet, and when I asked, the institution ties it. The lining spray may also have dried well. I guess you need to take a small industrial trip ...
