I have a 307 1.6 2004 xt car with gasoline .. for me the steering was normal .. but friends who use the car say it is like a hawk steering ... indeed my steering is very hard when I get on other brand vehicles ... 307s are all like this ... how are your vehicles. How to fix if there is a problem with my steering wheel .. I looked at the forum, oil was tried, pump was tried etc. But the solution did not find it .. Thanks |

My steering wheel is very light too, I think there is a problem, I think the hydraulic oil may be decreased. When you lift the hood, it is fixed in the middle.

Check the steering hydraulic level, maybe it has decreased or it has lost its feature since it is old.

For example, after the pump repair, I had to replace all its oil or something but I still have my hard steering wheel from all the cars in its class. |

As I use the 307, I am saying that when I lift the hood, the tank above is the brake and clutch fluid, never put atf (steering oil). When you lift the bonnet, you will see a red and black cover in the place where you put the glass of water. Check the steering oil from there. If it does not exceed the max line, bring it back to the max. Goodnight.

Unfortunately, I don't have 307 around me to make a comparison .. but recently I got on the i20 for 1 week .. the steering wheel was perfect. Then I switched to my own car like tofaş .. but then the accustomed person comes normally ..

Certainly the peugeot steering wheels are obviously hard. When using other tools, one understands better. 206 307 308 are all harder than peer vehicles.

[QUOTE = talip206] Certainly the peugeot steering wheels are obviously stiff. When using other tools, one understands better. 206 307 308 are all harder than peer vehicles. [/ QUOTE] That's exactly my problem. So if my car is like the other 307s, it's okay .. because when you get on other brands, the steering is very hard. Someone who used Duster got on a ride, what is the steering of this? |

I was thinking like you, I think 307 gasoline was hard for me, I even had the chance to try another 307 friend, I looked at it, it looked soft and comfortable, it turned it hard 2-3 times, I put it on the head, I went to a special service for a few peugeot, I said the gasoline of the car said yes, the pump is on the right He said, "I got on the diesel 307, and when I said it turned soft, their pump said in the navel, I don't know how accurate and how much lie, but this is a fact that the expression of a hard but tofaş pile is exaggerated compared to the steering wheel of the diesel. the steering wheel of the hawk makes the man muscle on my head :) |

It's been 7 years since I bought the car and I haven't changed the steering oil for 7 years but my steering is very soft. I recently used the 2013 mazda axela with full electric power steering believe my 307's steering is more comfortable.

2004 XT Premium. Likewise, I find it hard. Especially when I leave my seat in the morning, when I maneuver a little too much to the left or right, there are blunt noises from the left. Most likely there is a problem with the pump, but I have not had it checked for two years. But the steering is really hard.

@ Orçun.Dmr when we say soft, we also have a Kia Ceed, I describe you steering wheel in comfort mode. Take a "paper plate" in your hand, turn it left and right, the same feeling .. I used this for a few days and then got on my 307 .. I had a really hard time in the first few moves .. |

But I used all of the Japanese cars, I say unfair that my 307 is more comfortable. I used the master's automatic 307 with gasoline, it was pretty hard, for example, does diesel fuel realize that the steering is comfortable?

First, make the tire pressures 2.4 bar, try the bidet like this, it will be useful, I will write here if there is a difference that I will change the steering oil today.

[/ QUOTE] Just like my teacher, he notices the tire pressures in a very soft degree. Can you please ask me when you change the steering oil? Can you tell us about where it changed, how it changed, what brand of oil was added? I will change it too, but I did not handle it because I did not know how it changed and from which oil it was put.

I went, I changed the oil, took half a liter, the master did not empty it completely, I suppose, we remove the right hood, unscrew the steering oil return hose, add new oil, I put this oil, there was noticeably softening on my steering wheel, (my problem was the aging of oil) It would be better if the master had drained all of them, if your problem is from oil, the steering will be softer after the change.
