The 2.0 hdi engine was used in 406-407 and partners. The engine is generally smooth, but this is a situation related to how you used it without getting tired. I don't know 407, but I used the 2014 focus trend-x manual. standard equipment does not support hill start. however, we connected this feature to the computer and turned it on and it worked fine. I mean, 407 grandparents you mentioned could be something like this or change according to the package.

I am a 407 2.0 HDi user. I am very satisfied with my vehicle. Equipped, serial charismatic fast tool. If you find it clear, I say don't miss it. But it is important that the maintenance history is complete. It has 4-speed automatic tiptronic transmission. It is a classic transmission and its transitions are smooth. Like all automatic transmissions, it performs light reversal on steep slopes. It does not miss back on normal slightly inclined slopes. Fuel consumption does not burn down to 40 cents as Selçuk55 said. Now diesel is 6.37 TL. My vehicle burns 8 liters of mixed city diesel. This corresponds to 50 cents at current prices. If you use it calmly it will drop a little more. Outside the city 110 burns 5 liters in the 120 km band.

407 2.0 hdi is fully automatic, not semi-automatic. It does not miss back on the slope. Like normal automatic transmissions, of course, as the degree of the slope increases, the car cools back. But it doesn't make you kidnap back. This is how the Toyotan Honda's VW's classic automatic transmission is somehow. All automatic transmissions slip back on very steep hill - if there is no hill start assist. It is normal.
