Good day everyone. I have a 308 1.6 VTI model. While driving on a long road, the gearbox suddenly malfunctions, making a knocking noise as if someone had hit it from behind, and the car stalls. After this error, when I accelerate, the car doesn't accelerate even though the revs increase, and most likely goes into neutral. Does anyone know the reason for this?

If it's manual, I think the gear shift cable is broken.
