fuel gauge problem

friends took fuel from my car the other day, although i bought 190 pounds of diesel, the indicator remained at 4/3 what is the reason? I would appreciate if you have help or have any information.

I had overfilled in his biker, the pump filled it up until the fuel was overflowing from the tank's mouth, the indicator did not rise 50-100 km, I looked, did not go to service, I removed the float and moved it manually, then I did not put fuel when the pump was thrown.
