Yılın ilk zammına gerekçe olarak, ham petrol ve döviz kurlarındaki artış gösterildi. Öte yandan son günlerde artan akaryakıt fiyatları, tasarrufun önemini daha da artırdı.

Araç sahipleri, depoyu ucuza doldurmanın hesabını yaparken, benzinli yerine dizel yakıtlı araçlara ilgi artıyor.

Son 5 yıl içinde benzinin litre fiyatı yüzde 48 arttı. Aynı dönemde motorine de yüzde 60 zam gelmesine rağmen, bu akaryakıt türü hâlâ benzine göre fiyat avantajını koruyor.

45 litre hacme sahip benzinli bir otomobilin deposu yaklaşık 175 liraya doldurulurken, araç şehir içinde bu yakıtla 620 kilometre yol yapabiliyor.

Dizel yakıt kullanan otomobil ise 150 liraya doldurduğu deposuyla 920 kilometre gidebiliyor. 2006 yılının Ocak ayında benzinin litre fiyatı 2,61 liradan satılıyordu.

Fiyat şimdi 4 lira sınırına yaklaştı. Motorin ise 2006 yılının ilk ayında 2,07 liradan satılırken son zamlarla 3,31 liraya çıktı. 2006 yılı başında 45 litre yakıt hacmine sahip bir otomobilin deposu yaklaşık 120 liraya dolarken bugün rakam 175 lirayı buldu.

Dizel araçlarda ise 95 liraya doldurulabilen depo, bugün ancak 150 liraya doldurulabiliyor.

hesaplamalar göre bin kilometre yapabilmek için benzinli motorlu araç 280 lira, dizel motorlu araç ise 163 lira harcıyor. Böylece dizel motorlar avantaj sağlıyor
