FAULT SEARCH IN THE STARTER CIRCUIT

To find the fault in the Mars circuit, the lamps are turned on and the starter motor is restarted. If the lamps go out or become weak at this time, there is a fault in the battery, connections and cables. Battery electrolyte is checked with a hydrometer. The density should be above 1,250. When the battery voltage is measured with a voltmeter, 6V battery should be read 6V and 12 volt battery should be 12V. It is good if the above values are seen in the battery. Battery connections are cleaned and connected. The cables, which suspect that they are not strong, are replaced with new ones.

When the starter is pressed, if the lamps do not fade, decrease, malfunction, between the battery and the starter motor or the starter switch copper contacts are not able to connect the circuit. These connections are cleaned, tightened, and if the starter does not start, it is considered that the fault is in the switch or in the starter motor, which is done by auto electricians.
