Forum. My car is Peugeot 207 Vti Feline CC 2011 model at 160,000 km. It has had an occasional steering lock issue for a while. The vehicle was driving on its own as if you had it idle. Today, I read the comments on some forums and pressed the gas when it was idle and it went up to 6000 rpm. Then the stop sign came on and it was like I wasted it as usual. Now the gear does not shift, the car does not start. What do you think could be the problem? Thank you.

Brother, I came to the topic to help you, but I think your problem is a bit beyond us. Steering lock can be a separate issue, not shifting gears can be separate issues. Steering problem usually makes it from ignition, have it checked. but if the steering pump is faulty, the steering may become very stiff, the pump probability seems to be higher. Is the car automatic by the way? If you are facing this problem at high revs, first change the coil spark plug and fuel filter. It will be better if you have the fault codes checked with the original device. so that we can assist.
